Omdat we steeds meer Joomla extensies ontwikkelen willen we graag laten zien op deze website wat er allemaal veranderd.
We ontwikkelden dus de Scorpion Changelog Viewer module zodat we op deze website kunnen laten zien wat de veranderingen per versie zijn. Voorheen werd dit met de hand bijgehouden, maar we hebben toch al changelog bestanden per extensie, dus bedachten we dat het veel eenvoudiger zou zijn om daar gebruik van te maken. Al die changelogs staan al op onze eigen Joomla Update Server, dus eenmalig een module vertellen waar hij moet kijken zou voldoende moeten zijn om ervoor te zorgen dat bij een update van een extensie de changelog op de website automatisch wordt bijgewerkt.
Natuurlijk kunnen we onszelf voorstellen dat andere software ontwikkelaars dit ook kunnen gebruiken, dus delen we deze module niet alleen, maar hebben we hem ook bruikbaar gemaakt voor andere soorten software en andere type changelogs.
